Suffolk Rotarian celebrates 55 years in Rotary this month
In 1955, the Suffolk Rotary Club had about 45-50 members. Mike English, the President of Planter’s Peanuts was the Club President at that time. The Club met weekly on Thursdays at 1 pm at the old Hotel Elliott and both Mr. Bruce Elliott and his father were members. Read more in the January 2010 WordOGram.

Suffolk resident, Kathy Bounds wins Automobile Raffle

Kathy Bounds was the lucky individual that had her winning raffle ticket drawn on Sunday afternoon, October 11th on the Main Stage at the Suffolk Peanut Festival. Approximately 1,500 tickets were sold by the Rotary Club of Suffolk from July 2, 2009 through October 11, 2009. This is an annual fund raiser for the Rotary Club of Suffolk.
